Dainkund Peak Dalhousie
Dainkund Peak at Dalhousie one of the beautiful tourist attractions. Being the highest mountain peak in the region, it offers a completely amazing experience hidden in the lap of the mighty Himalayas. To cover this beautiful take 30-40 minutes on foot to reach atop the peak. The difficult trek is wonderfully soothed by the mesmerizing valley-views. Then you could catch a glimpse of the Kailash Mountain on a clear day. The peak is 2,755m above sea level. The peak is occupied by the Indian Air Force and a left bend from there takes you to the temple. Pleasant climate welcomes tourist’s all-the-year-round. There are a clear one and a half kilometer trail along the ridge that leads from the shop to the viewpoint at Dainkund. This route is frequently used by locals to visit the Pholani Devi Temple and the trail winds along the outer wall of the Air Force Station. Exercise caution when traversing these narrow sections, especially with children. The trail ends at a bifurcation near the Dainkund viewpoint. From Dainkund viewpoint, it is a comfortable 0.7 kilometer walk downhill to the vehicle parking lot over a concrete path.
